Diller Community Foundation Fund

VISION

Diller is a place where all are inspired to dream, grow and give back.

MISSION

The Diller Community Foundation Fund encourages charitable giving to build endowment resources that support and maximize our community’s potential

In 1999, citizens of Diller saw a need to organize the Diller Community Foundation in order to promote community development. The purpose of the Foundation is to encourage, solicit, receive and use charitable gifts to support the current and emerging needs in the community of Diller and its surrounding areas. The Diller Community Foundation exists as an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation. The Nebraska Community Foundation is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) 3 corporation.

It is the responsibility of the advisory committee to insure that the proceeds from the Foundation are invested back into the community in a prudent and accountable manner. DCFF holds an annual Granting Celebration and awards financial support to a wide variety of programs which include youth activities and community development efforts.

The Diller Community Foundation Fund (DCFF) is an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF).  The status of the Diller Fund as a charitable organization is made possible through NCF’s 501(c)3 designation.

Consider making a gift to the Diller Community Foundation. Voting membership can be gained through payment of a $20.00 annual membership. Some have chosen an individual, family or organizational membership.

Contributions to the Foundation are deductible for income, estate and gift tax purposes.

D.R.E.A.M. Event

The D.R.E.A.M. (Diller Remembers Endowment Achieves Magnificence) was started in 2016 and is held the Friday evening prior to Thanksgiving in the Diller Opera House.  The event is a fundraiser for the Diller Community Foundation Fund (DCFF), but also serves several other purposes.  The DCFF wanted to promote an event that provides community togetherness and fellowship while utilizing a building in town that is rich in history.  Increasing awareness of the DCFF and its goals and progress is another goal, as is to give updates to the community on grants awarded and current campaigns.  The DCFF has also made an effort to gather comments and ideas at the D.R.E.A.M about what attendees would like to see in the community in the future.
