The Diller Fire & Rescue Department consists of 25 volunteers. Twelve of those volunteers are certified EMT's. They hold meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8pm. The Fire Department covers 103 square miles of territory.

 

Since the department is strictly a volunteer department, funding is based upon fund-raisers and donations. The main fund-raiser is a free-will donation Pancake Feed held in March. Please send any donations to Diller Fire & Rescue, attention Fire Chief, P O Box 96, Diller,NE 68342. Recently, the fire department was issued a FEMA grant in the amount of $57,280 to purchase new equipment. Examples of equipment that will be purchased with these funds include: bunker gear, pagers, radios and air packs.
