Village of Diller
Regular meeting of Diller Village Board was held July 14, 2008. Chairman Behrends noted posting of Open Meetings Act. Roll Call showed Board Members present: Behrends, Engelman, Sandman, and Kunc. Novotny was absent.
The following are motions approved by Diller Village Board:
Kunc moved to approve bills as presented with addition of $.50 increase for maintenance person for receiving Sewer Certification, and also include bill from G. Crannell and C & C Processing; approve Minutes of previous meeting, and Treasurer’s Report by consent agenda; seconded by Engelman.
Engelman moved to donate $125 to Diller-Odell FFA for helping with Clean Up Day; seconded by Kunc.
Engelman moved to allow St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to install curb and 1 light pole in parking area that is on Village property; seconded by Kunc.
Sandman moved to approve distribution of housing survey with Village of Diller paying for copies, labels and postage for separate mailing; seconded by Engelman.
Border and woodchips have been installed at playground area in park. Engelman moved to add gravel for digger area at playground; seconded by Kunc.
Engelman moved to renew membership in SENDD and pay dues of $250; seconded by Sandman.
Sandman moved to pay Hanna:Keelan $4,480 as billed when grant money of $3,360 has been deposited with balance of $1,120 divided equally by Diller and Odell; seconded by Engelman.
Engelman moved to attach mowing fee to property located at 203 Logan Street; seconded by Kunc. Letters will be sent to 2 property owners regarding mowing.
It was consensus of Village Board that street overlay project should be listed on November Ballot. A suggestion was made to include sidewalks. Sidewalks tabled until next meeting. A Special Meeting of Village Board will be held July 29, 2008 at 7:00 PM to view streets, culverts, and ditches to determine what will need to be done to prepare for overlay.
Abandon/Junked Vehicle Ordinance tabled for more information. Wehling Engineers has been contacted to give estimates on 4 locations for water/sewer hook ups for new Fire Hall. One letter sent to property owner who has 2 unlicensed vehicles on property.
Kunc moved to adjourn; seconded by Engelman. All Board Members in favor; motion carried.
The next meeting of Diller Village Board will be Special Meeting on July 29, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Community Building. The next regular meeting of the Diller Village Board will be on August 11, 2008 at 7:30 PM at Community Building.
